This week has Honda releasing even more recalls to add to their growing list of recent weeks. They are currently the leader in the last year of recalls out-numbering Toyota (with sticky gas pedals) among others.
2012 Honda Accord/Crosstour:
This car is being recalled due to a faulty inflator that may not deploy side curtain airbags after a crash. Around 2/10 Honda will alert owners and will replace the driver's side or passenger's side curtain airbags free of charge. This affects 347 Accords and Crosstours. Honda - 1-800-999-1009
2011-2012 Honda Ridgeline:
This truck has incorrect tire information placards in certain models that display incorrect information for the spare tire and could lead to failure with an improperly inflated tire. Honda will inspect the tire and replace if needed. They will also replace the placard to show the correct specifications. This recall affects 206 Ridgeline models produced from August 25, 2011-November 29, 2011.
2011 Toyota Rav-4:
This is another airbag recall also due to a bad inflator. The side curtain airbags may not deploy after a crash. Toyota will replace the side curtain assembly at no cost and will start notifying owners in March. This affects 427 Rav-4 models produced from November 24, 2011 - December 19, 2011. You can contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331 for more information.
2008-2010 Maserati GandTurismo:
A recall by Fiat owner Maserati comes as no surprise to those aware of Fiat quality issues. This particular fault has to do with taillights in certain coupe and convertible models that may not work due to an improper assembly which may cause an accident from behind. Maserati will replace effected tail lamps free of charge and will begin notifying owners this month. This could affect almost 1768 GranTurismos manufactured from June 2008-March 2010.

I do see recalls on the news from time to time, but is this many recalls in a week normal? If so that is kind of disturbing.
ReplyDeletethis is about average actually. I will post these often and you will typically see 3-5 on there. Typically its small stuff like the tire sticker or what not. Occasionally you see a big one like the Toyota gas pedal or the Honda ones that have been up lately.
